Controls Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with expertise in various automation technologies.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions into existing systems.
Responsibilities
Design and develop automation systems and programmable logic controllers.Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve issues in automated systems.Create automation zone layouts using CAD programming such as DraftSight or AutoCAD.Develop and implement project schedules to ensure timely completion of automation projects.Utilize programming languages such as OMRON Ladder Logic, FANUC robot programming, scripting, and system design.Set up programming for Keyence camera utilizations including troubleshooting.Perform signal processing and debugging tasks on automated systems.Collaborate with manufacturing teams to integrate automation solutions into production lines.Conduct vision inspection system setups to ensure product quality.Apply knowledge of electrical systems, NEC standards, and surface mount technology in design processes.Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize automation processes.Develop 3D schematics for prototypes.Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, preferred.Experience with mechanical knowledge and soldering techniques.Familiarity with DraftSight for CAD applications is preferred.Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform debugging and troubleshooting effectively.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and electrical experience is essential.1 year of experience with FANUC Programming (Required).1 year of experience with OMRON (Required).Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with mechanical knowledge and soldering techniques.Familiarity with DraftSight or AutoCAD applications is preferred.Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday on the first shift, with potential for overtime as needed.

This is a Permanent position based out of Smyrna, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
