Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a focus on consumer banking to lead and manage technical initiatives within our banking organization.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of consumer banking products, processes, and technologies, combined with strong project management skills and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
This role requires the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and ensure the timely and efficient execution of projects to support our consumer banking objectives.
Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects related to consumer banking, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and business priorities. Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables, and develop detailed project plans and schedules. Manage project resources, including internal team members, external vendors, and consultants, to ensure effective utilization and allocation of resources. Drive the development and implementation of innovative technical solutions to enhance consumer banking products and services, improve customer experience, and drive business growth. Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality. Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables, and addressing any concerns or issues that arise during the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security standards, and best practices in consumer banking, and work closely with compliance and risk management teams to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to standards. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project team, promoting knowledge sharing, skills development, and teamwork. Track project budget, expenses, and resource utilization, and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability. Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement, capture best practices, and incorporate feedback into future projects. Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager in the consumer banking industry, with a strong understanding of consumer banking products, processes, and technologies. Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects from initiation to completion, with a focus on delivering business value and achieving strategic objectives. Strong project management skills, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource management. Experience working in an Agile environment, with knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Kanban, and Jira. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior executives, business leaders, and technical teams. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives. PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certifications preferred. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in consumer banking, including GDPR, PCI DSS, and PSD2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
