About the role
We know that the key to growth is a high-performing sales team.
That’s why we’re seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to find and screen potential customers who can benefit from our products and services.
As the first line of communication with prospects, the ideal SDR has an understanding of the sales process, excels at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting our sales teams up for success.
The candidate should be an eager learner with strong communication skills and an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way.
The Sales Development Representative leads proactive outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification and converts marketing qualified leads (MQLs) to sales qualified leads (SQLs) to build a strong sales pipeline.

Main Responsibilities
Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting
Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps
Monitor and lead customer engagement in our Live Chat system
Perform sales presentations over the phone, web and in-person as needed
Identify and document best practices for the team in a lead-generation playbook
Accurately update and maintain internal records and systems including lead management in a CRM, Mautic dashboards, and reporting tools (e.g. lead tracking)
Ensure the start of the customer journey reflects Texthelp in a positive light
Measures of Success
Opportunity pipeline created for sales teams
Engagement of inbound leads and prospects within a SLA (<24-hours)
Improvement in process and results throughout the year
Activity rate of people contacted per week, month, quarter
Essential Criteria
1+ year of relevant B2B sales experience
Proven record of consistently meeting target goals and delivering outstanding customer sales experience, particularly via remote channels
Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills
Excellent business communication skills
Keen to learn and comfortable in an agile environment
Ability to use G Suite, CRM, and other technology platforms
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge of operating in a SaaS (Subscription Software) business environment
Excels in balancing multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently allocates time and resources to meet deadlines
Educational Technology product and education business understanding
