Job description

The Sales Optimization Manager serves as a strategic consultant and execution partner to Inmar’s sales teams.

This includes playing a pivotal role in enabling impactful materials that are data-informed and design-forward to ensure client engagement.

This person will bring strategic vision, visual storytelling, and project management to the Sales Enablement Team.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Sales Optimization Manager oversees the sales proposal process, including authoring and editing client documents, contributing to strategic planning, and managing a range of specialized projects.

The role requires expertise in Inmar’s comprehensive suite of services, operating within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and involves fostering the integration of appropriate artificial intelligence usage to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.

Reporting to the Manager of Sales Enablement, this role is integral to bridging Sales, Product Marketing, and other teams to ensure efficient workflows that result in compelling deliverables by aligning with Inmar’s business objectives.

An understanding of Inmar’s healthcare solutions as well as a strong design intuition and advanced Google Slides proficiency are essential for success.

A passion for quality execution and attention to detail are required.

The ideal candidate must be adaptable and willing to wear multiple hats as needed to coordinate tasks and timelines to achieve results while consistently complying with quality and productivity standards to meet deadlines and exceed expectations by giving our clients the best possible outcome.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule and must be able to work from the Winston-Salem, NC office on a regular basis.

Primary Accountabilities: 

Strategic (30%)

  • Develop expertise in a focus area of Inmar's suite of products/solutions, including competitive intelligence, while maintaining a holistic understanding of all solutions.

  • Lead the creation of data-driven selling stories and pitches that are client specific, utilizing existing product marketing materials across verticals.

    Translate data into visually engaging messaging with charts and graphs in the client business review process.

  • Consult with sellers on meeting goals, client situation, and strategy; utilize product and material knowledge to curate and recommend sales materials.

  • Support strategic initiatives like top-to-top meetings, executive summaries, and campaigns.

  • Set and attain achievable, yet aggressive, goals with a sense of urgency and accountability. 

  • Build strategic relationships with senior leadership, sales leaders, SME’s to design and develop high-quality effective training to engage learners in acquiring product knowledge, sales skills, sales tool competencies, best practices in selling, etc. 

  • Co-create and collaborate with sales, creative, and other teams to incorporate creative strategy

  • Promote collaboration, partnership, and relationships among stakeholders on all projects.

  • Embrace innovation by continually exploring new ideas and approaches, resisting complacency, and challenging traditional methods.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by taking on diverse roles, responsibilities, and tasks to support team success and organizational goals.


Project Management (30%)

  • Manage projects such as RFPs/RFIs, business reviews, custom presentations, and other sales deliverables ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

  • Coordinate cross-functional deliverables, including timelines for sales training and onboarding support.

  • Facilitate meetings with clear agendas, fostering alignment and ensuring actionable outcomes.

  • Oversee execution of intricate proposals, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

  • Partner with the training team to develop and enhance high-quality content that supports learning objectives.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, recommending best-in-class methodologies to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

  • Manage project workflows through multiple channels and adapt to various roles and tasks within the team as needed


Creative & Design (20%)

  • Design compelling sales presentations with impactful visualizations and business insights.

    Brainstorm client solution ideas that highlight/showcase Inmar products. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and develop innovative solution presentations  showcasing Inmar products and services.

  • Customize materials for client-specific needs, including flowcharts, pricing decks, and tour presentations.

  • Contribute to special creative projects, such as event materials and executive-level presentations incorporating a vision for design elements. 

  • Participate in the creation and curation of educational content, including instructional guides, eLearning modules, presentation decks, and other multimedia materials tailored to specific teams.

  • Contribute to the design of interactive and engaging learning experiences to improve knowledge retention and skill application.

  • Ensure that all training materials align with organizational goals, brand standards, and industry best practices.


Leadership (10%)

  • Provide feedback on team deliverables, including special event support and strategic project initiatives.

  • Assist with developing training and learning resources for internal teams by collaborating with subject matter experts, team leads, and stakeholders to identify skill gaps and training needs across various departments.

  • Promote best practices and facilitate onboarding for new team members.

  • Assist manager with team training and development of programs and sharing of best practices.


Administrative (10%)

  • Create training documentation and learning needs analysis; recommend strategies; create project plans; manage timelines; develop objectives; create curriculum, assessments and surveys; and track results. 

  • Utilize tools such as video editing software and collaboration platforms to produce and distribute resources efficiently.

  • Support the maintenance and updating of a centralized repository of materials for easy access by team members.

  • Regularly gather feedback from internal teams to refine and enhance training content, ensuring it remains relevant and effective.

  • Strong ability to write, edit, and refine business communications and client-facing documents with clarity and precision.

Required Qualifications: 

  •  Bachelor’s Degree required 

  • 3-5 years of related work experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position

  • Project Management experience strongly preferred

  • Experience with complex data visualization, visual storytelling,  and insights development strongly preferred

  • Advanced experience working with the following software programs:

    • Google Suite

    •  Google Drive

  • Baseline knowledge working in, accessing raw-data file outputs

  • Demonstrated excellence in writing skills, with high attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy, data visualization, and insight development
