Job description

**Introduction**
Join IBM's Salesforce Practice team with a focus on State & Local Gov’t clients, where you will be a key leader in shaping and proposing innovative solutions leveraging the power of Salesforce and IBM's Consulting AI and Asset based capabilities.

You will work closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and develop compelling, tailored solutions leveraging Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) Cloud to drive digital transformation within State & Local Government clients.

In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, combining your deep platform expertise with a strong understanding of State & Local client needs and procurement processes.

Has overall responsibility, oversight, governance and ownership of the technical solution.

Oversees and advises on technical challenges and advises on how to best leverage Out-of-Box functionality to meet requirements, suggest Salesforce best practices & patterns for technical architecture before proposing a custom solution.

Prepares and facilitates the techno-functional discovery and design sessions with the customer during the define phase of the project.

As part of the define/design phase deliverables creates the Technical Design Document which is intended to be a roadmap for the development team to follow during the build phase.

Throughout the project is available to review architecture and technical designs to ensure the best technical solution is being employed.

Demonstrates expertise in agile, scrum and waterfall methods for Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and validated system processes for State & Local clients.
**Your role and responsibilities**
· Collaborate with IBM account teams and clients to understand their mission, business processes, and technical requirements.

· Help with presales activities such as how Salesforce can address challenges, conducting product demonstrations, working with internal sales teams, and qualifying leads.

· Design and architect innovative, scalable, and secure solutions primarily leveraging the Salesforce platform, including Data Cloud and various Salesforce Clouds (Industry, Service, Marketing, Sales).

· Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) that showcase the value of proposed solutions or recommend the most suitable Salesforce investment or product.

· Lead technical discovery sessions and workshops with clients to refine requirements and validate solution designs.

· Provide expertise on Salesforce best practices, architectural patterns, and integration strategies within a public sector context.

· Advise clients on data modeling best practices within the Salesforce platform (SF Data Model) and how to leverage Data Cloud for unified data strategies.

· Incorporate IBM's asset portfolio, including IBM Consulting Advantage and related Assets, into Salesforce-centric solutions where appropriate.

· Respond to technical sections of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other procurement documents.

· Stay current with the latest Salesforce product releases, certifications, and industry trends, particularly as they apply to the public sector.

· Potentially mentor and guide junior technical resources.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders and IBM internal teams.

· Conduct code reviews, setup CI/CD Pipelines, DevOps process and lead deployment of Salesforce modules into production after thorough development review.

This job can be performed from anywhere in the US.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
Required Qualifications:

· 10+ years proven experience in consulting and delivering client engagements at a technical level.

· 5+ years of Salesforce Industries experience, solutioning and delivery experience.

· Extensive experience implementing and/or architecting solutions using Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Industries Cloud (Public Sector Solutions Cloud), within complex environments.

· Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration.

· Strong presentation skills.

Able to effectively present and defend a point of view to a variety of audiences.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Speaks and writes with clarity, brevity, and purpose; explains the area of expertise clearly and confidently to others; influences and engages C-Level with authority and confidence.

· A great listener with the ability to communicate with people in diverse roles.

· Resourceful and innovative thinker who can work through and solve problems

· Team player who is proficient at collaboration and working with members of a team

· Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a dispersed team.

· Salesforce Certifications: examples include Health Cloud, Application Architect, System Architect, Data Cloud, Agentforce Specialist/AI, Platform Developer 1 and 2, OmniStudio, Service Cloud.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline.

Equivalent demonstrable work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

· Salesforce System and Application Architect, CTA (Preferrable), Omnistudio Developer, Platform Developer 1 and 2,

· Experience with other relevant technologies and integration patterns.

· Familiarity with healthcare-specific GxP compliance and security requirements like HIPPA, GDPR and state-specific regulations.

· Experience with Agile methodologies, Salesforce Technical Architecture best practices

· Ability to convey and convince customers of best practices at various levels within a large organization
