Job SummaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Instructor to join the team at Stemtree of Columbia!
In this role, you’ll lead hands-on STEM and art activities that spark curiosity, build confidence, and support school-age learners in reaching their full potential.
The ideal candidate is creative, patient, and highly adaptable able to connect with diverse learners and bring energy to every lesson.

Responsibilities • Facilitate hands-on STEM and art activities that are developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and aligned with daily programming
• Follow established schedules to maintain structure and flow throughout the day, including transitions, snack, and movement breaks
• Support students’ physical and emotional needs, using evidence-based strategies for regulation, engagement, and safety
• Observe and document student participation and progress, noting developmental milestones and areas for support
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with parents, sharing updates on student behavior, learning highlights, and safety concerns
Qualifications:• Must be 16 years or older with reliable transportation
• Previous experience working with children in educational or enrichment settings (e.g., tutoring, camps, after-school programs)
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate engagement strategies
• Patient, kind, and nurturing with a growth mindset
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
• First Aid/CPR certified (or willing to obtain)
