Right now, our Workforce Development Team in Tacoma, WA store is seeking a Part Time SCSEP Data Specialist!

Hourly Rate: $ - $ Per Hour

Position Summary: The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) Data Specialist plays an integral role in the administrative (Human Resources, Payroll) and data entry (Grantee Performance Management System (GPMS), Caseworthy data management system) requirements of the program.

We are a subcontractor to Goodwill Industries International on their Department of Labor (DOL) SCSEP contract.

The role is designed to assist the Case Managers and Program Manager with all data entry needs to meet requirements of the DOL program and local Goodwill of the Olympics and Rainier Region (GORR) data and payroll requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The SCSEP Data Specialist responsibilities Includes the following and other duties as assigned:

  • Responsible for ensuring that SCSEP Staff members have entered data into the GPMS data base per the DOL and GII rules and regulations.
  • Assume the responsibilities of GPMS Administrator for the SCSEP program.
  • Maintain information on the due dates for the SCSEP documentation requirements and ensure the staff and Manager stay on time and in compliance with all data entry requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the SCSEP staff enter appropriate entries into Caseworthy.
  • Responsible for working with the GII Coach and Compliance Monitor, and/or designated GII staff member regarding GPMS error/corrections.
  • Attend all required GII SCSEP trainings.
  • Complete the payroll functions of the Lifion system by collecting SCSEP participant timesheets; ensuring that the timesheets have been approved by the participant and Host Agency supervisor, making final approval determination in partnership with the Case Manager, and then completing the data entry of all participant timesheets within the expected timelines of the GORR Finance Department’s payroll process (bi-weekly entries).
  • Requirements

    Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 6+ months relevant experience required
  • Demonstrate cultural competence; specifically, awareness, attitude, knowledge, willingness and skills to work effectively with a culturally and demographically diverse population
  • Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills
  • Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and consensus

    Other Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of SCSEP Data Specialist

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Washington State Driver’s License required

    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear and type.

    The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.

    The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

    Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
