Location: San Diego, CA at our wonderful G2 Ops office and customer site

Work Setting: In person, some remote opportunity, and/or flexible working hours, not a fully remote position

Salary Range: Based on relevant experience, education, and certifications

+ 8+ years: $130,000
+ + 10+ years: $150,000
+ + Please note these ranges vary depending on the specific opportunity, experience, and other factors

Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain Active DoD Secret Clearance

Where you make an impact: For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented  Security Engineer .

This exciting position will oversee and support information security program implementation across our organization and customer missions.

You will help shape security strategies, enforce policies, guide personnel, plan for emergencies, and drive awareness initiatives.

You will also manage resources, including leadership support, funding, and key personnel, to achieve IT security goals and reduce organizational risk.



What does this mean to you?

We are seeking expertise in Security Engineering such as:

+ Proven ability to implement and manage information security programs within DoD environments

+ Experience developing and enforcing policies, incident response plans, and awareness training

+ Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk management methodologies

+ Ability to analyze complex risks and recommend innovative security solutions

+ Relevant DoD certification(s) (e.g., IAT, IAM, IASAE, GSLC, CISSP, CISM, CAP, CASP) or ability to obtain

Let's talk salary.

The annual salary range for this position starts at $130,000 and goes up based on your qualifications.

We also offer a competitive benefits package and have fringe benefits offered throughout the year.

The benefits package value ranges from $13,000 for a single employee, and up to $28,000 for an employee and their family.

Due to the classification level of the projects we support as a Defense Contractor, we cannot offer fully remote opportunities at this time.



You will have a shiny desk at our G2 Ops office, plus the opportunity to work at a military site directly with our customers (this is a good thing!).

We do allow teleworking with prior approval, but supporting the DoD, you will be required to work at a government site as well.

Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements.

The ideal candidate would already possess an active  DoD Secret level clearance  and  a DOD Certification (e.g., IAT, IAM, IASAE, GSLC, CISSP, CISM, CAP, CASP).
