As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a utilities location, you will monitor entrances, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a strong presence throughout the area.

Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting visitors, and providing outstanding customer service while utilizing computer or tablet systems.

**Pay Rate: $13.66 / Hour**

Thur06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Fri06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

**What You’ll Do:**

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

**Responsibilities:**

+ Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the location.
+ Provide customer service by communicating professionally with visitors, employees, and contractors regarding access and site-specific policies.
+ Help to deter unauthorized access through regular observation and reporting of security-related concerns.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe for security-related issues and report any irregularities.
+ Maintain accurate logs and reports related to access control activities and incidents.
+ Follow site-specific and Allied Universal policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.

+ Availability across various days and shifts
+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
+ Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
