As a **Security Guard - Access Control - Weekdays** in **Denison, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all personnel and visitors.

Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

This role includes driving responsibilities, requiring you to meet AU Driver Policy requirements.

You will also have the opportunity to provide excellent customer service and clear communication as part of your daily responsibilities.

**What You’ll Do:**

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
+ Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry to the manufacturing and industrial location.
+ Verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to support access control procedures.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following Allied Universal protocols.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity.
+ Document and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents observed during patrols or access control duties.
+ Communicate with site personnel and management to relay information regarding security-related matters and/or incidents.

+ Availability across various days and shifts
+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
+ CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
+ Customer service experience is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
