As a **Security Officer - Access Control - Full Time** in **WEST POINT, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment.

Your presence and routine patrols contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, while delivering exceptional customer service and communication.

This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the job state is required.

**Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour**

**Day** **Time**

Mon12:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Tue12:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Fri06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Sun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

**What You’ll Do:**

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

**Responsibilities:**

+ Perform access control duties, including verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the manufacturing and industrial location.
+ Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with inquiries related to site-specific security-related procedures and protocols.
+ Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a visible presence and monitoring for unusual or suspicious activity.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to support site policies and security-related procedures.
+ Respond promptly to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
+ Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
+ Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
+ Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
+ Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
+ Experience providing customer service is preferred.
+ Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
