As a **Security Officer - Access Control Specialist** in **Laguna Beach, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor entrances, check badges, and conduct regular patrols to help to deter security-related incidents.

**Pay Rate: $21.15 / Hour**

Mon02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Tue02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Fri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Sat02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Sun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

**What You’ll Do:**

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

**Responsibilities:**

+ Monitor and manage access control points within the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activity.
+ Verify identification and credentials of individuals seeking access to restricted areas within the property.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific procedures.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to observe for any security-related concerns or suspicious activity.
+ Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or property damage according to site-specific and Allied Universal procedures.
+ Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by addressing security-related inquiries and assisting with site-specific policies and procedures.
+ Assist in emergency response activities as required, collaborating with local authorities and Allied Universal management.
+ Maintain a visible security-related presence to help to deter inappropriate activity and promote a secure environment for all occupants.

**What We’re Looking For:**

+ Availability across various days and shifts
+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
+ Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
+ Be at least 21 years of age.
+ Have experience with access control and/or badge systems preferred.
+ Be comfortable working at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
