As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a corrections environment.

Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service and communication.

**Position Type: Flex**

**Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Thur06:30 AM - 05:30 PM

**What You’ll Do:**

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a corrections environment.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for an armed patrol post.
+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or incidents.
+ Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
+ Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols.
+ Collaborate with law enforcement and/or facility staff as required during incidents and emergencies.
+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and/or inmates.

**What We’re Looking For:**

+ Availability across various days and shifts
+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
+ An armed guard card or license is required.
+ A minimum of two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or a college degree is required.
+ A state, county, or city issued security-related license is required.
+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
