As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.

You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service while managing access points and verifying credentials.

**Pay Rate: $15.30 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Mon06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Wed06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

**What You’ll Do:**

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

**Responsibilities:**

+ Assist with access control by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals at the utilities location.
+ Monitor security-related systems including cameras and alarms to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activities.
+ Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by responding to inquiries and guiding them as needed.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual findings.
+ Follow site-specific procedures and protocols for handling emergencies and/or security-related events.
+ Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
+ Collaborate with onsite personnel and/or emergency responders as required during incidents or drills.

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
+ Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
