As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries.

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for people and property.

Your visible presence helps to deter security-related incidents, while your strong communication and customer service skills support a positive atmosphere.

This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required.

**Position Type: Part Time**

**Pay Rate: $20.86 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Fri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Sat02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Sun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

**What You’ll Do:**

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within logistics and distribution locations.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
+ Monitor and control access to designated areas, verifying credentials and/or authorizations as required by site protocols.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or activities.
+ Document and report security-related incidents, irregularities, and/or hazards in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
+ Assist with traffic and/or vehicle control within the facility as directed by site requirements.
+ Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to support a secure and orderly environment.

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
+ A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
