As a **Security Professional - Tech Site - Full Time** in **Roanoke, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment.

**Pay Rate: $14.25 / Hour**

**What You’ll Do:**

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
+ Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the location, particularly in a tech, media, and telecom environment.
+ Collaborate with on-site staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and support daily operations.
+ Maintain accurate records and logs of patrols, incidents, and other relevant activities as required by site protocols.
+ Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcement of site-specific policies and procedures.

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
+ Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
+ Customer service experience is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
