Key Responsibilities:-
Design, configure, install, and support IP and analog security systems including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and drone monitoring systems-
Install, certify, and troubleshoot LAN cabling systems-
Diagnose and resolve software and network issues in live environments-
Provide internal technical support to field installers and external support to clients-
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals-
Drive company or personal vehicles to job sites within the NY metro area-
Assist hardware installers with system setup and deployment as needed
Qualifications:-
Familiarity with AC/DC theory, Ohm's Law, and basic multimeter operation-
Strong understanding of networking devices, OS, and protocols-
Experience with Genetec, Honeywell, Axis, or Panasonic security software platforms-
Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and physical security infrastructure-
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments-
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Note on Ideal Candidate Background:
This role requires a candidate who is comfortable developing hands-on skills, primarily to support troubleshooting and assist in the programming and configuration of devices.
While some practical work will be involved, this is not a field installation role and is not suited for someone looking to moonlight as an installer.
We are not looking for a traditional software developer.
Although some technical understanding is necessary, this position is better suited to someone with a strong grasp of networking fundamentals-someone who can configure devices, connect them to customer networks, and effectively troubleshoot connectivity issues.
A four-year degree in a relevant field (, networking, computer science, information systems) or completion of a technical program or certification focused on networking is ideal.
However, we're open to candidates from various educational backgrounds as long as they bring the necessary technical foundation.
We've found that individuals with a pure software development focus often prefer roles that are centered on writing code at a desk.
This position, in contrast, involves a blend of technical, hands-on, and troubleshooting work that goes beyond traditional development.

Full-Time - Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Field-based across the NY metro area with daily dispatch from the company office in Ozone Park, NY
