Position Title: Security Software Integrator
Company Name: Caltron Security Services Corp.
Pay Range: $30.00-$40.00 per hour, based on experience
Industry: Security / Access Control (Commercial, Industrial)
Location: Ozone Park, NY
Job Overview:
Caltron Security Services Corp.

is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Security Software Integrator to join our growing team in the New York metro area.

In this critical role, you'll be responsible for integrating and supporting cutting-edge security software systems that protect high-profile infrastructure.

If you're passionate about technology, enjoy problem-solving, and are looking to advance your career in security systems integration, we want to hear from you.
Who We Are:
Caltron Security Services is a premier non-union security systems integrator with over 30 years of trusted service in the NY metro area.

Known for our quality, reliability, and deep industry expertise, we safeguard some of the nation's most critical infrastructure.

Our team benefits from on-the-job training, certifications in elite platforms like Genetec and Honeywell, and a supportive, growth-driven culture where dedication is rewarded with real advancement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:-
Design, configure, install, and support IP and analog security systems including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and drone monitoring systems-
Install, certify, and troubleshoot LAN cabling systems-
Diagnose and resolve software and network issues in live environments-
Provide internal technical support to field installers and external support to clients-
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals-
Drive company or personal vehicles to job sites within the NY metro area-
Assist hardware installers with system setup and deployment as needed

Qualifications:-
Familiarity with AC/DC theory, Ohm's Law, and basic multimeter operation-

Experience with Genetec, Honeywell, Axis, or Panasonic security software platforms-
Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and physical security infrastructure-
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments-
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Note on Ideal Candidate Background:
This role requires a candidate who is comfortable developing hands-on skills, primarily to support troubleshooting and assist in the programming and configuration of devices.

While some practical work will be involved, this is not a field installation role and is not suited for someone looking to moonlight as an installer.

We are not looking for a traditional software developer.

Although some technical understanding is necessary, this position is better suited to someone with a strong grasp of networking fundamentals-someone who can configure devices, connect them to customer networks, and effectively troubleshoot connectivity issues.

A four-year degree in a relevant field (, networking, computer science, information systems) or completion of a technical program or certification focused on networking is ideal.

However, we're open to candidates from various educational backgrounds as long as they bring the necessary technical foundation.

We've found that individuals with a pure software development focus often prefer roles that are centered on writing code at a desk.

This position, in contrast, involves a blend of technical, hands-on, and troubleshooting work that goes beyond traditional development.

Benefits:-
Health and dental insurance-
Paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick days)-
Retirement savings program-
Bi-weekly pay cycle-
Profit sharing and year-end bonuses-
Paid industry training and certifications-
Uniforms and safety equipment provided-
Opportunities for career advancement into senior integration or leadership roles
Schedule:
Full-Time - Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Location:
Field-based across the NY metro area with daily dispatch from the company office in Ozone Park, NY
