Senior Analyst - Analysis & Accounting
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Finance business group within Aon Affinity in Plainview, New York.

What the day will look like
+ Perform monthly Travel revenue, premium and other financial reporting tasks to ensure all corporate deadlines are met.
+ Ability to prepare various monthly journal entries including accrual and deferral entries.
+ Ability to research and resolve bank reconciliation variances, including intricate differences resulting from a large volume of credit card transactions, chargebacks and fees.
+ Prepare Foreign currency wire requests for claimants.
+ Ability to review team’s work for errors and post to Accpac subledger accounting package.
+ Prepare premium and profit-sharing remittances and carrier claims salvage payments including Subledger Ledger reconciliation.
+ Ensure timely collection of client payments.
+ Approve split allocations in Oracle database.
+ Be key backup to team member tasks (including premium interface function).
+ Subledger account analysis.
+ Month-end operational metrics and analysis.
+ Client reporting as needed and analysis on file variances
+ Assist with annual plan process and development of Travel revenue drivers
+ Assist with research for Internal and Carrier Audits as needed.
+ Other duties as assigned by manager.

+ Premium Accounting and experience with accounting software.
+ Basic knowledge of GAAP.
+ Ability to work independently and as a team member.

+ Strong communication skills - will collaborate with all levels of management.
+ Multitask oriented.
+ Experience with SageAccPac, Workday and Cognos Finance
+ Insurance experience a plus, not a requirement.
+ Understanding of multicurrency accounting entries
+ Experience working with auditors
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent years of industry experience.
The salary range for this position is $75,800 to $100,000 annually.
The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
