Job Description


David Weekley Homes is looking for experienced developers who want to share their knowledge and learn new skills in a fun, intense and challenging environment.

While experience is appreciated, the ability to learn and apply new technologies is equally important if not more so.

The Position-- You will be required to:

+ Participate in daily Scrums, regular retrospectives and iteration plannings, and other as-needed face-to-face, audio- and/or video-teleconferencing sessions

+ Participate in architecture discussions, design decisions and provide input into all aspects of the system

+ Write clean code with good nomenclature, sensible tests and comments when necessary

+ Write unit tests, integration tests, and acceptance tests

+ Implement new features and fix bugs in a predominantly .NET stack using C#, Xamarin/Maui, .NET APIs (both RESTful and GraphQL).

+ Evolve databases and manage schema migrations in coordination with new features

You effectively explain concepts, written and verbally, to other developers and non-technical peers.

A whiteboard is the natural extension of your brain.


Qualifications

The Technical-- You need to have or know:

+ Senior or Lead level experience utilizing C#, .NET, and front end technologies

+ An ability to solve complex problems, communicate clearly, and share a sense of urgency

+ The capacity to thrive in a small, flexible and dynamic environment, contributing to a high-performance, low-stress corporate culture

+ Knowledge of applicable design patterns and coding best practices

+ git (or other distributed source code management tools) knowledge

It would be nice for you to have or know:

+ Agile (Scrum, Kanban) processes

+ Domain Driven Design

+ VueJS

+ DevOps Pipelines and releasing to Apple/Google app stores

+ NServiceBus or other Messaging platforms

+ Azure

+ Experience with Xamarin/Maui targeting both iOS and Android platforms

Work Location: This is not a remote position and is based at our Houston, TX headquarters, with work-from-home opportunities.
