CGI has an immediate need for a Senior AWS Python Developer to join our team.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with strong AWS expertise to support the development and maintenance of financial software applications.
This role involves close collaboration with finance teams to translate business needs into scalable, efficient software solutions.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Python-based development, cloud infrastructure, and data processing frameworks, along with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies.

Writing clean, efficient, and testable code using modern Python frameworks.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Advanced Python development (Pandas, PySpark, PyTest)
.
Experience with Flask, Django, or FastAPI
.
Strong AWS experience: Lambda, S3, Step Functions, Glue, EC2, ECS, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudWatch, Redshift
.
Boto3 and AWS CLI proficiency
.
Docker and Terraform usage
.
REST API development and integration
.
SQL and database interactions (relational, block, and file storage)
.
Git, Jira, Confluence
.
Agile development practices
.
Shell scripting
.
Unit testing and application builds
.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
.
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect) are a plus.

8–10 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on Python and AWS.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
