Oracle GDI is searching for an exceptional Senior Cloud Architect to join our Consulting Services organization as part of IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services team.
You will be supporting our innovative Intelligence Community (IC) customer initiatives.
In this role, you’ll architect, secure, and enhance Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments powering real-time analytics and mission-critical operations.
This role is a full-time, in-person position, primarily based in the office with occasional visits to client sites.
We are seeking candidates who reside in the Virginia/Washington DC region.

Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud IaaS (compute, storage, networking, IAM, FaaS). Expertise in Oracle database administration (cloud/on-premises)—provisioning, performance tuning, backup/recovery. Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and proficiency with Terraform or similar IaC tools for OCI. In-depth knowledge of network protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud security best practices. Demonstrated experience in CI/CD, modern DevOps approaches, and troubleshooting OCI performance. Excellent communicator and collaborator—adept at working in dynamic, cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications
Oracle Cloud certifications (Architect Associate/Professional). Successful migrations of applications/databases to Oracle Cloud. Working knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes) in OCI environments. Understanding of multi-cloud strategies (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with Oracle Autonomous Database, Exadata, monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus). Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies. Previous leadership or mentorship roles. Must Have
