Senior Cloud/ DevOps Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a Cloud/DevOps Engineer who is a key role in our organization, responsible for deploying, automating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the systems that keep the backend infrastructure running smoothly.

The role requires a strong focus on operational excellence, a deep understanding of coding and scripting, and a passion for system architecture and design.

**Responsibilities**

+ Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
+ Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure system reliability, efficiency, and performance.
+ Manage and monitor system infrastructure to ensure high availability and scalability.
+ Implement and manage tools for configuration management, system
+ monitoring, and log management.
+ Work closely with the development team to identify and fix issues in
+ production.
+ Work with Engineering teams to adhere to audit concerns to ensure
+ compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**

+ 7+ years’ experience of implementing Cloud & DevOps solutions using agile methodologies.
+ Proficient in two or more programming languages such as Python, Bash shell scripting, and SQL.
+ Multiple years of experience with software engineering best practices (unit testing, automation, design patterns, peer review, etc.)
+ Strong proficiency in working with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Terraform or an equivalent.
+ Clear understanding of Data Structures and Object-Oriented Principles.
+ Multiple years of experience supporting horizontally scalable, highly available, highly resilient, and low latency applications
+ Multiple years of experience with Cloud-native development and Container
+ Orchestration tools (Serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.).
+ Proven experience of providing technical vision and guidance to a data team.
+ Thrives in a dynamic environment, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of work.

BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience in cloud native technologies and patterns (AWS, Google Cloud)
+ Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (i.e., Terraform, Cloudformation,
+ etc.)
+ Experience of driving and/or influencing the data strategy of your team or organization

**Certifications:**

+ AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
+ Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
+ AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

$125,600.00 - $188,400.00
