Senior Embedded Software Engineer Verification Lead

**About the job you’re considering**

We are seeking an experienced Senior Verification Engineer to lead verification efforts for embedded and mobile systems in the MedTech industry.

The ideal candidate will drive verification strategies, manage a team of engineers, and ensure compliance with medical device regulations.

**Your Role**

· Lead Verification Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive verification plans for embedded and mobile systems used in MedTech applications.

· Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of verification engineers, promoting a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

· Test Development: Design and implement both automated and manual test cases for embedded firmware, mobile applications (iOS/Android), and integrated systems.

· Compliance & Standards: Ensure all verification activities align with relevant medical device regulations such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304, and FDA guidelines.

· Defect Management: Lead root cause analysis and resolution of defects, ensuring proper traceability and documentation.

· Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with software, hardware, and QA teams to synchronize verification efforts with development milestones.

· Tooling & Infrastructure: Select, configure, and maintain verification tools, frameworks, and environments to support efficient testing workflows.

· Reporting & Documentation: Generate detailed verification reports, metrics, and dashboards for internal teams and external stakeholders.

**Your Skills and Experience**

· Proven experience in MedTech product development and verification.

· Strong understanding of embedded systems and mobile platforms (Android/iOS).

· Experience with cloud-connected medical devices and mobile health applications.

· Knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy in medical systems.

· Familiarity with medical device standards and regulatory requirements.

· Proficiency in scripting and test automation tools (e.g., Python, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines).

· Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

· Certifications such as ISTQB, ASQ, or equivalent are a plus.

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in software/hardware verification, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
