Urgent! Senior Fire Protection Engineer / Project Manager Job Opening In Seattle – Now Hiring OneSource Technical, Inc

Senior Fire Protection Engineer / Project Manager

Job description

Senior Fire Protection Engineer / Project ManagerLas Vegas, NV or Seattle, WA area (on-site)

Overview:

We have partnered with a company seeking to hire a couple fire protection and life safety engineers to lead impactful projects.

You’ll prepare, design, supervise, and submit technical reports and drawings, while also contributing to overall business growth.

This position is with a small but growing engineering firm that has a thriving business and ambitions to expand - with potential future opportunities to open new branch locations, allowing you to directly help shape the firm’s direction.

They work on a diverse portfolio of projects and buildings across multiple industries.

It’s an ideal opportunity for a motivated, growth-minded professional who values a collaborative, dynamic environment and wants to leave their mark on the organization.

There is transparency from top to bottom here - think the opposite of a large corporate atmosphere.

Your title will depend on your experience level: you could be someone with extensive FPE knowledge, someone who has supported project managers and is ready for the next step, or an experienced PM looking to level up your career.

Focus of the Role:

This role will manage a blend of project work (approximately 70%) and business development (approximately 30%) with responsibilities that include client relationship management, engineering design, and oversight of staff producing fire protection reports, code compliance, plan reviews, and egress/accessibility design drawings.

You will be responsible for submitting project deliverables, supported by a skilled in-house technical team, while contributing directly to the firm’s growth and client acquisition.

The position involves active participation in weekly PM coordination meetings to maintain deadlines and client satisfaction, as well as occasional travel - generally once every 1-2 months, typically within the Western part of the U.S. - for project kick-offs, site visits, or conferences, with most trips planned to minimize overnight stays.

This is an in-office role and the company offers some relocation assistance for the right fit, with current hiring targets in two locations: the Las Vegas area and Seattle.

They also offer a bonus program, 401(k), combined PTO, and fully covered medical insurance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field, with 6+ years of relevant fire protection engineering experience

  • Professional Engineering (PE) License, along with strong project engineering & management experience is preferred

  • Required Skill Profession
