The Senior Internal Communications Manager will report to the Director of Internal Communications as an independent contributor at Coinbase and partner directly with executives, senior leaders and teams across the company to tell powerful stories, design communications and change efforts, and help define communications standards and norms.

What You'll Be Doing (Job Duties):

• Strategic communications partner to c-suite executives and other senior leaders.
  
  
• Ensure employees have the information and context they need to do their job.
  
  
• Create and improve systems that scale communications across a globally distributed, remote workforce.
  
  
• Develop a deep understanding of the company mission, strategy and culture to reinforce in all communications.
  
  
• Maintain a broad understanding of the needs and dynamics of each executive and team you support to best advise them.
  
  
• Proactively identify opportunities and develop new programs to uplevel internal communications.
  
  
• Support and execute team-wide and company-wide live events (i.e. drafting talking points, advising on event flow and structure, preparing speakers, etc.).
  
  
• Partner with your Internal & External Comms teammates to drive proactive/reactive communications and coordinate internal issues management.
  
  

What We Look For In You (Job Requirements):

• 10+ years of experience in internal, external or corporate communications, media / journalism, or another writing intensive role.
  
  
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, prioritizing clarity & brevity in all communications.
  
  
• Well-developed executive presence, including experience directly partnering with senior executives on communications initiatives, with examples of ability to influence stakeholders and adapt work style accordingly.
  
  
• Resilience and gritable to maintain a proactive, even-keeled posture in the face of rapid organizational change and shifting priorities.
  
  
• Experience communicating to a highly distributed, remote workforce.
  
  
• Extremely organized (gets energy from roadmapping, planning, envisioning the path).
  
  
• Able to think and dosomeone who can both generate ideas and implement them.
  
  
• Able to balance speed and quality, with an acute sense for what matters most in a given moment.
  
  
• Deep curiosity about crypto and the intersection of technology and finance.
  
  

Nice to haves:

• Experience with design and/or multimedia development (i.e. design skills within Google Slides, experience/expertise in video editing).
  
  
• Experience in managing crisis communications.
  
  
• Experience in communicating to highly-technical, engineering-focused audiences.
  
  
• Experience with both external and internal communications.
  
  
• Experience driving live events (both virtual and in-person).
  
  

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below.

Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Pay Range: $201,365$236,900 USD
