Senior IT Support Engineer 

Pasadena, TX

As a Senior IT Support Engineer at PSC, you will be critical in delivering high-quality technical support to employees across the organization, both remotely and onsite.

You will leverage your technical expertise and business acumen to support core IT functions and key business applications that drive operations.

Your experience with mobile workforce support in the oil & gas services industry (or similar field-based operations) will be invaluable in ensuring seamless technology adoption and performance in dynamic environments.



Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced technical support to employees by resolving complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues, with a focus on proactive, high-impact IT support.
  • Support and troubleshoot business-critical applications used across PSC’s field and corporate operations, ensuring IT services meet day-to-day business needs.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business units, effectively interacting with stakeholders and documenting solutions for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Understand and support key business applications across PSC’s operations, particularly in field-based industries such as oil & gas, logistics, or similar.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and follow structured incident escalation frameworks.
  • Proactively monitor IT systems to minimize downtime and performance issues, and optimize IT processes for greater efficiency.
  • Deploy and maintain security technologies including multi-factor authentication (MFA), VPN, endpoint security, and SIEM solutions.
  • Configure and maintain computers, mobile devices, and peripherals using automation-driven deployment processes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software, and cloud licenses.
  • Assist with the onboarding and IT training of new employees to ensure they are properly equipped with required technology.
  • Mentor junior support engineers and work closely with the IT Support Manager to implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical support needs.
  • Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • 5-7+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or application support roles.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in troubleshooting IT systems and applications.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
  • Experience supporting field applications and mobile users in oil & gas services, industrial services, or logistics environments.
  • ITSM and security certifications (e.g., ITIL v3 Foundation, CompTIA Security+, HDI Support Manager) are a plus.
  • Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or application support roles.
  • Proven experience with ticketing/support systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting field applications and mobile platforms used in O&G or industrial field operations.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software (Windows environments, endpoint management, cloud services).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
