Senior IT Support Specialist
BBSI’s client is a locally owned and operated business that has been serving Western Oregon for over 50 years, and they are looking for a senior IT support specialist to join their team of seasoned experts that help keep office technology running smoothly.
You will oversee other support specialists, involved in fieldwork, technical support, consulting, and project management.
You will act as a trusted consultant to the customers and build strong relationships with clients and your team.
Salary: $49,611 - $56,729 per year, DOE
Schedule: Monday thru Friday, in-person, 8-hour day shift, some local travel within Eugene, Springfield, Albany and Corvallis is required.
Responsibilities:
· Server and network management, including installing, administrating, and troubleshooting basic network equipment.
· Deploying and decommissioning IT equipment, such as computers and printers.
· Performing user onboarding and offboarding processes and managing accounts.
· Advanced troubleshooting and spending time in the field at customers’ sites.
· Designing and implementing IT solutions for clients, including but not limited to, Windows Server Infrastructure, Active Directory, Entra ID, SharePoint & OneDrive, mobile device management, firewalls, switches, V Lans.
· Leading and managing IT projects, directing a team of IT support professionals and ensuring the projects are completed on time and within budget.
· Help desk support, managing and documenting calls and tickets.
Ideal candidates have the following skills and abilities:
· Relevant associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant work experience considered.
· 5 years’ experience in a Managed Services System or equivalent network support role.
· Project management experience.
· Advanced knowledge of server and network management.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple priorities or projects.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate with senior engineers.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to meet reasonable deadlines.
· Willingness to perform after-hours tasks and be on-call for emergencies as required.
· Excellent customer service skills, including strong relationships building skills.
· Must have valid drivers’ license and reliable vehicle, because some travel is involved with mileage reimbursement.
