**Senior Manager, Application Governance & Asset Management**
This role is responsible for leading strategic license and asset management, along with core technology governance functions within EIT.

Key responsibilities include optimizing the lifecycle of IT assets (hardware, software, cloud) to maximize value, reduce risk, and control costs.

The role will develop and implement governance strategies, ensure license compliance, partner with procurement and other areas of EIT application and infrastructure leadership, and drive continuous improvement in asset management.
This position plays a critical role in collaborating with development architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure scalable, integrated, and compliant technology solutions.

The role also leads the development and oversight of IT governance frameworks—establishing policies, standards, and procedures to align technology with business goals, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage risk effectively.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Strategic Planning:** Developing and executing long-term architecture strategies for managing technology assets throughout their lifecycle.
**Inventory Management:** Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and cloud resources.
**Procurement Management:** Partnering with Procurement organization on the acquisition of new assets, including software licenses and hardware, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and budget.
**Compliance Management:** Ensuring adherence to software licensing agreements, vendor contracts, and relevant regulations.
**Cost Optimization:** Identifying opportunities to reduce IT spending through asset utilization, software license optimization, and efficient procurement.
**Risk Management:** Working with Information Security and EIT Risk in identifying and mitigating risks associated with IT assets, such as security vulnerabilities and compliance issues.
**Performance Management:** Monitoring asset utilization, performance, and costs, and generating reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
**Process Improvement:** Continuously improving asset management processes and procedures through automation and other innovative approaches.
**Collaboration:** Working with various teams (IT, procurement, finops, etc.) to ensure alignment and effective asset management practices.
**Team Leadership:** Leading onshore and offshore team of associates
**Developing and Implementing Governance Frameworks:** Creating and maintaining a technology architecture governance framework aligned with global policies, industry best practices (like COBIT), and organizational goals.
**M&A Application Management:** Working closely with the EIT M&A team to define the processes that will lead to an Application Rationalization driving plans, risk assessments, collaborating with business & EIT application owners.
**Risk and Compliance Management:** Conducting regular risk assessments, identifying compliance gaps, and developing action plans to address these gaps.
**Policy and Standard Development:** Creating and maintaining IT policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring they are communicated and adopted across the organization.
**Monitoring and Reporting:** Tracking IT performance against established metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and reporting on the effectiveness of governance practices.
**Stakeholder Collaboration:** Partnering with various stakeholders, including process owners, IT teams, and business leaders, to drive adoption of governance principles and ensure alignment with business objectives.
**Ensuring Value Delivery:** Overseeing the implementation of IT initiatives to ensure they deliver the expected business value and contribute to the achievement of organizational goals
**Staying Updated:** Keeping abreast of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to ensure the governance framework remains relevant and effective.
Required Skills:
+ **IT Asset Management Knowledge:** Deep understanding of IT asset management principles, processes, and best practices.
+ **Architecture Framework Knowledge:** Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF) and architecture governance models.
+ **Architecture Design Experience** : Proven experience designing and integrating enterprise-level solutions across multiple technology domains (application, data, infrastructure, cloud, and security).
+ **Modern Architecture Understanding** : Strong understanding of modern architectural patterns such as microservices, event-driven architecture, APIs, and containerization.
+ **Strategic Planning & Business Alignment**
+ Ability to translate complex business objectives into clear, scalable, and actionable technology roadmaps.
+ Skilled in developing reference architectures, guiding principles, and technology standards that align with enterprise goals.
+ Demonstrated success driving architectural alignment across business units, development teams, and executive leadership.
+ **Governance & Compliance**
+ Strong experience leading architecture review boards and enforcing architecture governance processes.
+ Familiarity with IT compliance, risk management, data privacy (GDPR, HIPAA), and regulatory frameworks relevant to the organization.
+ **Software Licensing:** Expertise in software licensing models, vendor agreements, and compliance requirements.
+ **Hardware Management:** Knowledge of hardware lifecycles, procurement processes, and asset tracking methods.
**Education and Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
+ 10+ years of experience in IT management, governance, or related roles is required.
+ Preferred Certifications (not required but a plus):
+ TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
+ AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
+ Azure Solutions Architect Expert
+ Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
+ ITIL, SAFe, or other relevant frameworks

Reasonably expected salary range: $159,400.00 - $212,500.00
