Position Overview:
ADI's Corporate Strategy Office reports directly to ADI's CEO & Chair and works on the highest value issues and opportunities facing the company.
The Senior Manager, Strategy & Corporate Development, will be responsible for supporting enterprise-wide strategy development, including defining organic and inorganic growth strategies for ADI, leading and monitoring high impact strategic initiatives, and leading strategic due diligence of potential acquisitions and other strategic investments.
This individual will be responsible for working across the organization to provide expert guidance, build alignment between corporate, technology, and business unit level strategies, and ensure we are achieving the most important goals of ADI’s CEO and senior leadership team.
They will report into ADI's Senior Director of Strategy & Corporate Development and interface with key executive and other stakeholders across the entire organization including, but not limited to, functional team leaders, business unit presidents, and the C-Suite, including the CEO.
As such, this individual will have broad exposure across the company and significant ability to affect growth at ADI.
Less than 10% travel is expected in this role.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities Include:
Market Analysis: Lead detailed analysis of market dynamics, competitive positioning, customer movements, ecosystem trends, and new technologies to develop a robust, dynamic “outside in” and “inside out” perspective on ADI's enterprise-wide strategies and most attractive growth opportunities.
Growth Strategy: Define inorganic and organic growth strategies to accelerate ADI's highest priority business and technology strategies.
M&A: Lead strategic due diligence of acquisitions and other strategic investments.
Partner with stakeholders across ADI to define and cultivate relationships with potential acquisitions.
Strategic Planning: Support the strategic planning process -developing strategic decision-making frameworks,robust quantitative and qualitative analysis, and providing program management capabilities to shape strategic decisions and tradeoffs.
Strategic Projects: Lead and support critical projects for the CEO, other CXO's, and business and technology group leaders that advance key strategic priorities for ADI.
Influence: Partner with the executive leadership team, and collaborate cross-functionally across ADI, to understand and influence their business and strategic objectives and realize the vision of the CEO.
Communicate: Prepare senior-level briefings and board materials, including synthesizing insights at the right level from detailed analysis, to inform strategic decision making.
Core Competencies:
Strategy Experience: The ideal candidate will have 1.5+ years post-MBA strategy consulting experience from a top tier management consulting firm or equivalent experience within in-house corporate strategy or strategic marketing and business development roles.
Education: An ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or other quantitative field, and an MBA / Advanced Degree from a top-tier institution.
Relevant Industry Experience: Preference to candidates with direct experience or knowledge of semiconductors, electronic systems, and related technologies.
Understanding of the competitive and market dynamics within the industrial automation, robotics, energy and datacenter infrastructure, aerospace & defense, automotive, digital healthcare, or consumer device industries a plus.
Relevant Functional Experience: Preference for candidates with majority of experience on growth strategy and/or strategic due diligence of potential acquisitions and other strategic investments.
The ability to build robust market models to inform business, product, and technology strategies a must.
Strong Project Management Skills: Can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Structured and Logical Thinking: Ability to dissect a problem into an organized approach and quickly form a hypothesis against which to run test analyses.
Strong understanding of strategic business concepts, along with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.
Analytical Aptitude: Demonstrated extensive ability and success with utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and implement solutions.
Ability to run and manage highly complicated quantitative analysis in a defect-free manner.
Strong Microsoft Excel modelling skills.
Executive Communications & Presence: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; effective at building relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with senior executives.
Strong PowerPoint and writing skills.

Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
