Senior Manager Engineering


Position Overview

This is a critical role in leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and

high-quality SaaS solutions that support our Human Capital Management (HCM) platform.

This role requires a

hands-on technical leader with strong project execution skills, a focus on engineering best practices, and the

ability to align technical initiatives with business objectives.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving

team performance, improving development processes, and ensuring successful product delivery while

collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Security, and Go-To-Market teams.

This role

requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and business acumen.

+ Lead multiple engineering teams in building scalable, high-quality products and solutions aligned with business objectives.

+ Drive execution with structured project management, ensuring clear strategies and timely delivery.

+ Optimize work breakdowns, parallel workstreams, and risk mitigation to improve efficiency.

+ Ensure accountability for milestones, proactively tracking progress and managing risks.

+ Maintain product health, scalability, and technical excellence for continuous improvement.

+ Optimize engineering processes, streamline development workflows, release cycles, and crossfunctional collaboration.

+ Coach and mentor engineers and managers, fostering a high-performance culture of learning and innovation.

+ Collaborate with Product, Security, and Business teams to align technical strategy with company goals and customer needs.

+ Ensure security best practices and regulatory compliance in all development efforts.

+ Manage resource planning and team capacity, ensuring efficient talent allocation and operational effectiveness.

+ Leverage engineering metrics to drive continuous improvement in quality, velocity, and efficiency.

+ Stay ahead of industry trends and drive innovation in technology, architecture, and development practices.



Education and Experience

+ BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.

+ 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership or management role.

+ Experience leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.

+ Strong technical background in software development, cloud platforms, DevOps, and scalable architectures.

+ Proven ability to manage software projects, aligning technical execution with business priorities.

+ Excellent collaboration skills, with experience partnering across Product, Security, and Business teams.

+ Experience working with Agile methodologies and modern development frameworks.

+ Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to change, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

+ A strong sense of curiosity, with a passion for innovation, continuous learning, and staying ahead of industry trends.

+ Proven leader within a technology organization and demonstrable experience as a people manager.

+ Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow large high performing teams to meet business objectives and quality standards.



Physical requirements

+ Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.

+ Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type.

This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements.

You must be available five days per week during designated work hours.

The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance.

This may include adjustments to on-site requirements or schedule expectations, as necessary.

The base pay range for this position is $143k - $265k/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
