Nordstrom is looking for a Sr. Manager of Program Management, Replenishment .
Inventory is our largest investment as a company, and this individual will play a pivotal role – operating at the intersection of our Merchandising and Supply Chain teams – to deliver value to the company by optimizing how we forecast, order, and manage our Replenishment inventory.
As the owner of our Replenishment program management function, this individual will own the roadmap for our Replenishment capabilityand will oversee delivery of new functions, reporting, and process enhancements.
In addition, this individual is responsible for supporting RP onboarding, learning, and management of our flex roles to ensure our team of 100 replenishment associates and forecasters are skilled up and that we have appropriate coverageto fill critical resource gaps and maintain business continuity.
Efforts include but are not limited to:
REPLENISHMENT ROADMAP & CAPABILITY DELIVERY: Support a team of program managers to optimize our current replenishment and forecasting capabilities.
Partner closely with Product Management and Technology to define the technical roadmap, requirements, and delivery of new capabilities
Lead team to define detailed work-track program plans, conduct analysis, risks/issues management, and SME involvement to deliver on expectations
REPLENISHMENT ONBOARDING, LEARNING AND FLEX ROLE MANAGEMENT: Oversee the learning for both Replenishment Associates and Forecasters while also managing a group of 2-4 Flex associates to serve as interim support
Support learning and onboarding team to ensure onboarding schedule and approach is meeting the needs of the organization
Track leaves, budget, and attrition to determine required flex headcount and priority placement to best support the organization
Support growth and development of Flex roles providing ongoing coaching, gathering feedback from dotted line Sr. Managers, etc, to ensure Flex roles are ready for permanent role placement
Establish and maintain close alignment with Replenishment Sr. Managers and Directors on performance and needs within the organization
REPLENISHMENT ITEM & ORDERING SET-UP & SYSTEM MANAGEMENT: Oversee the team responsible for managing item and ordering set-up to ensure timely and accurate delivery
PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT: Effectively support organization of ~15 individuals with coaching, career development, and team development.
Ensure team is high performing and works effectively across the Replenishment organization and with cross-functional partners in Merchandising, NPG, Supply Chain, Inventory, Product Management, Analytics, and Technology
CROSS FUNCTIONAL PARTNERSHIP: Act as a leader within Inventory that works effectively with peers within Replenishment, within the broader Inventory organization and with cross-functional partners in Merchandising, NPG, Product Management, Analytics, and Technology
The ideal candidate is motivated, proactive and results-oriented.
This individual has a unique blend of strategic, analytic and collaboration skills with demonstrated experience in implementation.
The individual should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, dealing with ambiguity, engaging stakeholders in a productive, positive way and setting the course for the business to help drive Nordstrom growth.
This position reports to the VP, Ordering.
You own this if you have…
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
Strategic expertise in consumer-focused companies/industries (e.g. retail, fashion, consumer products, e-commerce)
Deep experience in Replenishment, especially working with Oracle systems
Experience in Merchandising and Inventory is preferred
Experience leading business capability evolution and partnership with product management and technology is desire
Strong business skills and familiarity with retail analytics
Ability to collect data, establish facts, assess results, and draw sound conclusions
Adept at developing storylines, presenting information, and communicating across all levels of the organization
Track record of thought leadership and collaborative problem solving of complex business issues
Demonstrated success in strategy development and execution – ability to work cross-functionally to drive ideas from conception to execution
Proven ability to build strong relationships with peers, stakeholders, and senior leadership
Adept at prioritizing and planning multi-stakeholder initiatives, providing direction when needed and removing obstacles to get work done
Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
