ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Regulatory Advertising and Promotion will play a critical role in supporting the review of advertising and promotional materials.

This position aims to align with the brand team's strategic goals while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory compliance including standards set by the Office of Prescription Drug Promotion (OPDP) and the Advertising Promotional Labeling Branch (APLB), as well as Pfizer's internal policies.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review promotional materials to ensure they are accurate, truthful, and not misleading, align with product labeling, and are backed by current and scientifically valid evidence.

  • Work independently, effectively identifying and escalating issues to Senior Management when necessary.

  • Monitor and disseminate relevant updates regarding regulatory developments and trends to RC Members.

  • Provide expert guidance on benefit/risk assessments related to promotional strategies and activities.

  • Communicate regulatory concerns and insights effectively to the senior governance group, including Marketing, Legal, and Medical departments.

  • Ensure compliance with business regulations and the rigorous implementation of regulatory standards.

  • Conduct regulatory reviews of both internal and external business communications.

  • Engage with relevant agencies, such as OPDP and APLB, and participate in trade associations to help enhance the overall regulatory landscape.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA or equivalent education; a degree in a science discipline or an advanced degree is preferred.

  • A minimum of 6 years of applicable industry experience is required.

    Consideration for relevant education, advanced degrees, fellowships, and overall experience may influence this requirement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in life sciences.

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field such as science, pharmacy, or law.

  • Experience in advertising and promotion.

  • At least 1 year of experience in relevant disease areas.

  • Experience collaborating with the FDA, specifically with OPDP and APLB.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Occasional travel may be required.

This is a hybrid role necessitating residence within commuting distance, with an onsite work commitment of approximately 2.5 days per week.

The annual base salary for this role ranges from $135,100 to $225,100.

This position is also eligible for Pfizer's Global Performance Plan, including a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary, as well as participation in our share-based long-term incentive program.
