Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The Sr. Programmer/Analyst is part of an interdisciplinary team focused on improving patient care, optimizing workflows, ensuring patient safety, supporting the data needs of clinical and business stakeholders throughout the organization, and developing innovative software solutions.Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates must have experience developing applications with python and PHP using Git/Gitlab for source code revision management.
The candidate should have experience performing code reviews and mentoring junior developers.
Relational database experience with MySQL/MariaDB or MS SQL Server is required including design and development of complex data warehouse schemas and data queries.
The ideal candidate will also have development experience with the Microsoft Fabric platform including Power BI, Data Marts, Data Flows, and Warehouses.
Familiarity with Intersystems HealthConnect and manipulating HL7 messages is advantageous.
Preferred candidates will have experience developing and consuming REST APIs in PHP/python and be familiar with docker containers including their creation and deployment The preferred candidate will have excellent communication and analytical skills and will have experience working with subject matter experts to gather requirements, test, and maintain software over time.
