None/Not RequiredThe Collins Aerospace Avionics Test Engineering organization has an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers (including systems, mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines) developing complex engineering solutions.
The Avionics Test Engineering organization is a global engineering organization responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the manufacturing test solutions in support of the $5B Avionics strategic business unit as well as external customers including armed services and airlines both domestic and international.
As a key member of the Avionics Test Engineering leadership team, the Senior Project Engineerensures the successful execution of test solution projects from inception, through deployment to customers, as well as long-term support.Typical test solutions custom designed electrical hardware as well as COTS components such as switch systems, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies and other related equipment coupled with custom software for performing Environmental Stress Screening as well as testing circuit card assemblies and top-level products.

The role collaborates closely with engineers and leaders, at various locations around the globe, to ensure project success.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Lead project technical execution and maintain performance metrics for decision making and continuous improvement purposes
Manage project scope (requirements and change requests) ensuring it meets agreed to commitments
Generate and maintainproject schedules with understood dependencies, deliveries, and critical path
Utilize Earned Value (EV) methods for managing project budget (and schedule)
Ensure project meets quality expectations
Identify risks and opportunities and resolve them through proactive ownership
Prepare well-crafted presentations reporting project status to leadership teams
Develop Engineering estimates and proposals for potential projects and gaining organizational buy-in
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency with developing and maintaining schedules using Microsoft Project
Experience establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships
