Senior Transmission Line Project Engineer
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to provide additional support in our Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department.
We offer an on-site opportunity in our Boise, Idaho office location or remote work style from a mutually acceptable location.

Lead and/or support the initial project execution layout to ensure an efficient and effective project plan has been establishedResponsible for creating and maintaining a project scheduleConduct weekly or bi-weekly project meetings to clearly outline upcoming deliverables and tasks with responsible personnel identifiedCoordinate with clients on project status and support project meetings as necessaryMaintain project workflow and thorough communication across multi-discipline projects, both internal and external to POWERIdentify and capitalize on opportunities to improve project work flowForecast upcoming project requirements to assist in resource planningFacilitate and adhere to POWER’s QA/QC proceduresParticipate in industry conferences, both internal and external, to improve professional growth while fostering knowledge transfer to colleaguesDevelop Transmission Line design knowledge pertaining to PLS-CADD, structure staking, foundations, assembly drawings, steel pole performance loading, material procurement, construction specifications, construction methods, construction estimates, and construction supportLead project teams with up to five (5) peopleTravel to client offices/field/vendor facilities as neededProject Manager (PM) Support
Support Project Manager with project status reportsWork with PM’s to develop scope, schedule and budget for new projects.Work with PM’s to identify out of scope items and support work scope variancesProvide weekly or bi-weekly project updates and project forecastingLead and/or support PM meetings with clients, both in person and remotelyDevelop client relationships allowing POWER the opportunity to position ourselves to win future workDepartment Support
Support department resource forecast planning for upcoming and current project loads to identify any additional support required for the projectsParticipate in new hire recruiting, screening and review processesProvide business improvement methodologies and proceduresDiscuss project and/or department personnel conflicts, performance issues, and collaborate on a suitable approach to constructively provide a successful resolution Contribute in the Business Planning and BudgetingRequired Education/Experience:
10+ years’ experience in the transmission field of managing projects and leading multi-disciplined teamsProfessional Engineering licensureStrong understanding to transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operationThe candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnelExperience using the Microsoft Office software suitePreferred Education/Experience:
Field program planning, management, and execution.Subcontractor management.Cost estimating and scheduling.Field experience and OSHA HAZWOPER and Supervisor training.MBA degree from an accredited university.Experience using ArcGIS, Oracle Crystal Ball, CAD, LPILE, SHAFT. Base Salary Range: $132,800K- $197,300K
The range for this position is displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations.
Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
This means that no two candidates are alike.
The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
