Job Description
Our client is known for offering services with a focus on outstanding quality, value added engineering and successful project outcomes.

These services include engineering only and engineering/procurement/construction (EPC) services for high voltage powerlines and substations.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and support major utility infrastructure projects (>$25M) across the Bay Area.

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in transmission line and substation projects, preferably with experience managing PG&E or other utilities projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing complex, multi-year initiatives, ensuring successful delivery from planning through execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale utility projects, some exceeding $200M in value.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality across all phases.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely progress.
• Oversee permitting processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular site visits across the Bay Area to monitor progress and resolve issues.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project team members.
• Participate in client-specific training as needed.

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical), Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• PMP certification required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing utility infrastructure projects, particularly transmission line and substation projects.
• Proven track record of managing complex, long-duration projects (5+ years).
• Strong understanding of permitting and regulatory processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Prior experience managing PG&E projects is a significant plus.
• Familiarity with Bay Area permitting and utility standards.
