GDIT is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join our team supporting the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Corporate Information Systems to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Support Services of their Corporate Business Systems (CBSOM).
You will support DOE’s Corporate Business Systems, used by over 14, users to fulfill the agency’s mission to promote energy independence, progress scientific research, and protect the nation through nuclear security.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Providing system analysis support for at least seven business systems within the application portfolio.Working closely with business and system owners and development team in a fast-paced environment.Working to understand the various system nuances and adapts quickly to change to support customer requirements.Defining system scope and objectives based on user needs.Developing and updating application configuration and end-user documentationInterpreting customer requirements to develop user interface mock-ups for presentation to the client and development team.Analyzing and evaluating user needs to determine functional requirements.Leverages modern Agile software design and development methodologies; performs the following tasks in alignment with the sprint development velocity.Collaborates with business owner and development team to create user stories, decompose epics, and groom the product backlog.Test the developed user stories prior business owner acceptance.Tracks and reports development team progress using burndown charts.Updates system/end-user documentationAnalyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.Analyzing and revising existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.Conducting detailed system testing and quality reviews of specifications for deliveryTroubleshoots and provides technical support and solutions to users.Coordinating with the client to define problem, determine data availability, report requirements, and resolve system design problems.Participates in system audit exercises, providing system walk-thru and artifact collection.May serve as a backup Team Lead, during periods that the primary lead is unavailable.Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business, or other related discipline with 8 years (12 years w/HS Degree, 10 years w/AA/AS Degree) of increasingly responsible and relevant experience in Systems Analysis and Design.3+ years of Agile system analysis experienceGood team player, able to manage multiple assignments, and adapt to changing client needs.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to business leaders.Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting.US CitizenshipDesired Qualifications:
