We showcase the expertise of Times journalists on-camera, share urgent news updates, produce on-the-ground reporting, pioneer Visual Investigations and video podcasts.
The New York Times is looking for a 12 month temporary Senior Video Editor who can help bring our audio portfolio to mobile, social and digital audiences through full episode video podcasts and vertical video clips.
This is a post-production position responsible for managing the editing of individual shows and social clips.
You have a refined understanding of editing techniques in multi-camera environments, a meticulous attention to detail and can work on complex edits autonomously and under deadline.
You have an in-depth knowledge of Adobe systems.
You will work with a team that includes a senior producer, video journalists and other internal and external collaborators, to lead the edit and publication of video work that enhances our report.
This role is for someone with a deep understanding of social video trends who takes an innovative and adaptive approach to video formats and techniques.
This is a temporary (12M) hybrid position based in New York City and includes regular attendance in the office each week per your departmental guidance.
