About This Role

The Senior Web Developer will be responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of Apex''s marketing website.

You will collaborate closely with our marketing and design teams to deliver a visually appealing, fast, and responsive website that effectively showcases Apex''s brand and drives engagement.

The ideal candidate can think systematically, communicate technical decisions effectively, and iterate quickly to meet business goals.

This role requires prior experience working with headless CMS platforms and front-end frameworks like Svelte.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Development: Take ownership of our corporate website driving its evolution and consistently raising the bar for functionality, usability, and innovation.
  
  

• Web Optimization: Build, refine, and optimize website features and SEO to deliver a seamless, high-performance experience that is user-friendly, meets accessibility standards, and aligns with Apex’s marketing goals.
  
  

• Analytics Enablement: Implement, manage, and refine web tracking and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, GTM) to create actionable insights that power data-driven decisions and keep our site performing at its best.
  
  

• Quality Assurance: Execute website initiatives with precision and solve technical challenges quickly and efficiently.
  
  

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with a talented team of marketers and designers to continuously identify opportunities for improvements to the website

• Innovation: Introduce new development standards, tools, and processes that position Apex’s website as a cutting-edge digital experience, elevating our brand.
  
  

• Experimentation: Support and implement A/B tests and personalization experiments to fine-tune user engagement and boost conversion rates in meaningful ways.
  
  

• Operational Excellence: Own code deployments, updates, and releases while proactively seeking solutions to make the site more reliable, adaptable, and scalable.
  
  

• Future-Proofing: Strategize and develop forward-thinking solutions that ensure the website stays modern, flexible, and perfectly aligned with Apex’s evolving vision and business objectives.
  
  

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience) required

• 5+ years of experience building dynamic, responsive websites

• Experience with headless CMS platforms, specifically using WordPress & ACF in a headless architecture.
  
  

• Experience with modern hosting providers (e.g., Vercel, Pantheon) and an understanding of CI/CD best practices.
  
  

• Experience hosting and maintaining WordPress instances.
  
  

• Experience using Figma to translate designs into production-ready code.
  
  

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS (SASS), and JavaScript, with a focus on Svelte/SvelteKit.
  
  

• Familiarity with alternative frameworks (e.g., NextJS/React, VueJS/NuxtJs) is a plus.
  
  

• Familiarity with analytics and SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, GTM) to measure performance and inform development decisions is a plus

• Relevant PHP experience for WordPress customizations.
  
  

• Excellent problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
  
  

• Proficient with Git and GitHub.
  
  

• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards, responsive, and mobile-first design principles.
  
  

• A strong interest in marketing and user behavior to align technical solutions with business strategy is a plus

Work Environment

• This job operates in a hybrid, office environment 3 days per week.

Salary range: Salary Range $96,000-$120,000

The annual base salary range for this position is noted above.

Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
