Job Description:

GliaCell is seeking a Senior/Principal Frontend UI/UX Engineer on one of our subcontracts.

This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer.

The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.



Key Responsibilities:

+ As a Frontend UI/UX engineer, you will be responsible for the transition of a legacy python application into a modern web app.

You will work closely with customers and PMs to understand/design/and create new user interfaces using NextJS.

Experience with TailwindCSS, ReactJS are heavily used in the frontend code base.

Typescript is an important foundation when building this application.

You will ensure that code is well written for code intellisense and maintainability.

You will be also responsible for code reviews to stay informed of the changes from the frontend and backend code.

A general understanding of docker is needed to make sure deployments into different systems can be performed.



Key Requirements:

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

+ U.S. Citizenship.



+ 14 to 20+ years of experience.



+ Bachelor’s in computer science (or related field) or 18 years without the degree.



+ Works well independently as well as on a team.



+ Strong communication skills.



Key Skills:

+ NextJS, TypeScript, Cypress Testing, Docker, Tailwind CSS, NodeJS, Python (not needed but its a helpful skill when assisting backend devs with code reviews)

Location: Columbia, MD
Telework: Up to 2 days per week

Salary Range: The salary range for this full-time position is $170,000.00 to $240,000.00.

Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across our projects.

Within the range, your salary is determined by your individual benefits package selection.
