As a leader of our Sensing Systems team, you'll design, develop, and launch the next generation of Touch ID sensors, integral to the security and seamless user experience of Apple's iconic products.
You'll bring devices to life, enabling them to understand and respond to their users in ways previously unimagined!
**Description**
Join the Touch ID team and play a pivotal role in leading the development of ground breaking fingerprint biometric sensors.
You'll be engaged in the entire sensor development lifecycle, from concept to mass production.
You will be applying your expertise in analog and digital circuit design to design sensing modules and evaluate coexistence, electrical performance and product integration.
A proactive electrical engineering leader with a passion for solving complex technical challenges and building and developing high performing engineering teams.
You have a proven ability to influence multi-functional teams and decisions through complex technical issues.
You are a strategic thinker with a strong foundation of analog circuit fundamentals and a proven track record of taking electrical designs into mass production.
You're a collaborative teammate with excellent communication skills and a drive to push the boundaries of innovation.
You have experience representing your team's work in high-stakes forums, shaping technical strategy through persuasive communication, and mentoring others in presenting their work effectively.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ BS in Electrical Engineering (or related field) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
+ Leadership experience managing engineers and multi-functional teams.
+ Proven ability to present sophisticated technical topics clearly and concisely, influencing decisions and securing consensus from senior leadership.
+ Strong EE analog fundamentals with demonstrated experience in all phases of circuit design and development.
+ Experience deep diving into complex technical challenges, identifying root cause hypothesis and solutions in a multi-functional and constrained environment.
+ Experience creating engineering design, requirement, and specification documents.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 5+ years of lead or management experience.
+ Experience with development process from early architecture through mass production.
+ Experience with sensing or biometric system development.
+ Cadence experience a plus.
+ Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscope, meters, etc.) and circuit simulation (SPICE).
+ Proficiency in MATLAB and Python scripting tools.
+ Experience with statistical analysis of production data (JMP, Tableau).
+ Experience in FEA, simulation, and modeling tools (Comsol, ANSYS, Maxwell).
+ Experience with high-volume mass production.
**Pay & Benefits**
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
The base pay range for this role is between $198,300 and $342,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
