General Summary…

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the performance of a variety of data-entry tasks, such as recording and keeping records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.

They check each shipment against shipping invoices or bills of lading.

This role is responsible for the timely and efficient completion of a variety of daily functions related to inbound and outbound processes, which includes data-entry, report development and generation, scheduling, filing and internal and external customer communications.

Position is responsible for maintaining standards of safety, accuracy and productivity.

This Position Will Be Responsible For…
  • Performs data entry functions within assigned work area.
  • Performs administrative functions within assigned work area.
  • Coordinates and schedules pick-ups.
  • Ensures timely and accurate shipment processing.
  • Consolidates shipping in a timely and acceptable manner.
  • Adheres to Vendor Routing Guide.
  • Support computer room function; generating labels for daily production orders.
  • Tracks monthly rack audit information in Maintenance Connection.
  • Tracks recurring Material Safety Data Sheets in Maintenance Connection.
  • Supports Operation analyst generating various custom reports from Warehouse Management System for work orders.
  • Performs inventory adjustment audits.
  • Ensures company policies and procedures are followed, and other duties as assigned.
  • Support may include data entry.
  • Analysis of workload, communication with other departments, and outside business units or transportation carriers.
  • Responsible for collecting, collating, and disseminating the departmental data in the appropriate report formats.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of office supplies, disseminating interoffice mail, etc..
  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related data processing experience, ideally within a distribution center environment




  • One (1) year of experience involved in performing work in a warehouse/clerical environment that requires the use of various warehouse/clerical practices




  • PC skills required (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (EXCEL, WORD)




  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is preferred




  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and flexibility in meeting deadlines




  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills




  • Customer service driven




  • Strong team player
