Position

We are seeking an experienced Web Developer to work collaboratively with our IT team based in Anderson, California, with a hybrid schedule possibility.

The successful applicant requires current authorization to work in the United States as Sierra Pacific does not provide a Visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the full lifecycle of customer-facing and internal website applications
  • Collaborate with users to understand and create project requirements and specifications
  • Work independently and in a team environment to design, develop, and maintain browser-based applications and user experiences
  • Proactively troubleshoot and test production issues
  • Use critical thinking and effective communication to solve problems and provide solutions with varying degrees of complexity
  • Be resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
  • Provide direct technical support to users and staff
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented, collaborative, and problem-solving focused work environment

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ minimum combined college-level education in Software Engineering, Application Development, or related Computer Science program, and/or professional experience in Web and Application Development
  • Professional experience in full-stack web development with front-end technologies like HTTP, JavaScript/jQuery, AJAX, and CSS
  • Professional experience in back-end coding languages such as C# or VB in a .Net environment
  • Preference given for professional experience in database development, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases
  • Preference given for experience with Visual Studio, Razor/Blazor, Bootstrap, DevExpress, or Azure Cloud
  • Proven problem-solving and time management skills
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills

The general wage range for this position at Sierra Pacific Industries is from $70,000 to $125,000 per year, and is dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to: relevant work experience, skill, knowledge, and/or education.
