Sign Language Interpreter Educational Job Opening In Oxnard – Now Hiring Amergis

Salary: $2218 / Week


Amergis Staffing is currentlyseeking Sign Language Interpreter for the 2025/26 school yearin the Oxnard, CA area.
Position Details: ASL Certification
Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours/Week: 37.5 hours Weekly

Start Date: 8/18/2025

Length: 25/26 School Year

Details: In-person

Pay: Travel Rate:$2,260( for Candidate over 50 miles)

(If under 50 miles) Local Rate: $42/hour

The Educational Sign Language Interpreter is a trainedprofessional who facilities communication between deaf or hard-of-hearingstudents and others within an educational setting.

Often, American SignLanguage (ASL) is used to interpret spoken language into sign language and viceversa, which ensures students have accommodations to classroom instruction,activities and learning discussions.



Minimum Requirements:


+ Proficiency in American Sign Language

+ Associates degree or Bachelors degree in interpreting, deafstudies or related field, preferred

+ State Board of Education Initial Sign Language InterpreterCertificate (as applicable)

+ Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA)certificate (as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)

+ Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification (as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)

+ Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
