Basic Purpose
Position interprets for different school functions, conferences, meetings and assemblies, IEP meetings, medical meetings with nursing staff, parent homes and sorority when requested and psychological testing when requested.
Teach sign language classes to OSD staff and others as assigned.
Assist in special programs and activities when interpreting is necessary.
Attend in-service training as scheduled and interpret workshops as required to keep certification current.

Position is located at Oklahoma School for the Deaf (OSD) in Sulphur.
Applicant must be willing to perform all job-related travel.
Trial period (if applicable) is required.
Background Check: The Department of Rehabilitation Services will conduct a criminal background check on new hires as part of an offer of employment that is made contingent upon a successful criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications: American Sign Language Skills.
