Silicon Performance Modeling Engineer IV Job Opening In Menlo Park California – Now Hiring Mindlance


Job description

Duties:

" Create bridge modules in System C to translate between different flavors of TLM

" Integrate System C components that support different flavors of TLM into Synopsys.

Platform Architect

" Ensure support for multi-beat protocols like AXI when building translation bridges.



What are the top non-negotiable skill sets required for this role?

" Experience in writing models using different flavors of TLM, especially, Synopsys Fast timed (FT) flavor

" Experience building TLM 2.0 interfaces to support open core protocol (OCP) and multi-beat protocols like AXI



Skills

Must Have:


" 3+ years of experience in C++, System C and transaction level modeling (TLM 2.0)

" Experience with performance modeling and analysis for networks on chip (NoCs)

" Experience in custom IP block performance/power estimates

" Ability to write, manipulate and maintain scripts - Python or similar (Perl, bash/awk, Tcl)

Wish List/ Nice to Have:

" MSEE/CS or equivalent experience



Must-Have Skills

1.

Performance Modeling & Data Visualization: understand how to model system performance (CPU, memory etc.) and create visualizations (charts, graphs).

2.

Python Programming: must have strong, hands-on experience with Python- core language for developing simulations, analyzing data, and building tools.

3.

SimPy: Experience with SimPy, a Python extension used for building event-driven models.

4.

NumPy: Familiarity with NumPy, a Python library for working with large datasets and performing complex numerical operations, especially for visualization and performance analysis.



Nice-to-have Skills

1.

Previous meta would be a plus, target hardware companies and not just software

2.

Experience with Python Extensions/Tools

3.

Power and Performance Trade-offs/conduct what-if analysis: experience in analyzing the relationship between system performance and power consumption.



Years of overall experience required? Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the field, with a focus on Python, simulations, and performance modeling.



Degrees/certifications required?

BA required in related field, Masters is preferred



How many rounds of interviews?

2 rounds of interviews (Coding with CWAM and technical with other team member)
