Required: Current license to practice Nursing in the state of Tennessee
BLS required prior to going to the department and maintained going forward.
BLS instructor required within 90 days of hire.
ACLS instructor required within 90 days of hire.
The Nurse Licensure Compact will not change how to obtain or renew a Tennessee license.
However, the Tennessee nursing license will be a single state license for Tennessee Residents or non-compact state residents.
Tennessee licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-Tennessee residents.

Department Position Summary:
The Simulation Coordinator is an experienced Nursing professional responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Erlanger Simulation Center.
The coordinator oversees the preparation, maintenance, inventory and operation of all simulation equipment/supplies and collaborates with clinical educators and clinicians to design, plan, implement and schedule high- and medium-fidelity simulation activities.
The coordinator ensures adherence to program policies, training objectives, program outcomes and current simulation best practice and safety measures.
He/she provides leadership and management of the program, its space and equipment.
The Simulation Coordinator works collaboratively with EHS leaders, clinical departments, providers, Clinical Education and a variety of vendors to provide high quality, state-of-the-art simulation training.
