Summary of Job Duties:

A Skilled Trades Helper will assist skilled tradesmen in all areas of the physical facilities of the campus.

A Skilled Trades Helper may assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical systems.

A Skilled Trades Helper will participate in training and demonstrate a willingness to learn a craft.



Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in the various trade areas
• Skilled in the use of operation and care of tools and machinery
• Ability to learn to perform manual labor under varying working conditions
• Ability to understand and follow oral instructions

Position schedule: Monday through Friday 12:30p - 9:00 pm.

Minimal overtime.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working and/or assisting an Electrician, Plumber, HVAC Technician or Mechanic
