POSITION SUMMARY  

Snowmakers are responsible for safely and efficiently operating snowmaking equipment.

Snowmakers must be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions.

Snowmaking is a physically demanding job.

Snow is expected to be made whenever temperatures allow, many snowmaking shifts will occur overnight.

Part-time and full-time seasonal positions available.

The wage range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr, based upon experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Pre-season preparation (brush cutting, snow gun and pipeline installation and snow gun setup)
  • Safe and efficient operation of  snowmaking equipment to produce the quality snow that Stratton guests expect
  • Complete maintenance on snowmaking equipment
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Assist other departments and fill in as needed
  • Follow all company safety policies
  • Additional duties as required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, required

Experience:

  • Previous snowmaking experience, preferred
  • Previous experience operating snowmobiles, preferred

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to work in all winter conditions, including snow, rain, wind, ice
  • Valid driver's license with a record that meets Stratton's driver policy
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include 12 hour &/or overnight shifts

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
